Skincare is Self-care
Turn your everyday routine into self care magic with these tips!
1. Liven up your shower by adding a few drops of your favorite essential oil to the tub floor. The steam from the shower will disperse the scent and give you an amazing aromatherapy experience. My favorites to use are lavender, eucalyptus, and peppermint!
2. Turn moisturizing into a mini massage. Take the time to rub your products in. Focus on dry spots and sore areas. This will help your products work better and get the blood flowing in your skin for a healthy glow, faster cell turnover, and less dry skin.
3. Give yourself a mini facial a few times a week. Allow a few extra minutes for steaming the face and using a clay mask. Steaming helps to open up pores and release oil and toxins. A weekly clay mask draws out dirt, oil, toxins, and is a great way to relax and rejuvenate the skin.
4. Use a loofah or sponge instead of a cloth. They stimulate blood flow and slough off dead skin leaving you smooth and glowing.
These small steps can go a long way in helping you wind down or prepare for a long day. Don't skimp on yourself. Cut out a little extra time to add something special to your routine.
